A grid is a pattern of horizontal and vertical lines. To create a grid you can use the mouse and the keyboard. Both techniques can be combined.
Using the mouse
- Click the Grid button on the toolbar.
- Determine the first point by clicking on the desired location in the working window.
- Determine the next point in the same way. This point will define the grid's width.
- As you move your mouse, a grid will be created and completed on your third mouse click. (Functionally, this is similar to creating a rectangle.)
- Repeat the command by using the space bar or clicking the Grid button again, if desired.
Using the command bar
- Click the Grid button on the toolbar.
- Determine the X and Y coordinates of the first point in the command bar and confirm with [OK].
- Determine the second point in the same way or switch to the Distance command in the command bar and determine the Length and Angle values of the segment.
- Determine the number of rows and columns in the corresponding fields, specify the length, and click [OK] to complete the grid.
- Repeat the command by using the space bar or clicking the Grid button again, if desired.
