Placing Connectable Object Symbols

A connectable object symbol is a 2D drawing of the connectable object, imported from Library.

There can be more than one connectable object symbol for each connectable object, depending on how many were created in Library. You select the one you want to place from the Select 2D symbol dialog which is displayed after you launch the command.

  1. Select the Insert > Connectable object symbol menu items or the button on the toolbar.
  2. Select a fan point (the end of a bundle or cable, if not preselected) by clicking.

If there are more connectable objects passing through the fan point or more symbols of the connectable object, a selection dialog is displayed.
  3. Click anywhere in the working window to place the symbol (usually next to the fan point), or enter the X and Y coordinates in the command bar.
  4. Repeat the command by using the space bar or clicking the Place connectable object symbol button again, if desired.
