To create projects with some predefined characteristics, templates can be used. Project templates can contain the following elements:
- Project structure
- Electrical configurations and electrical options
- Nailboard / cable drawing display configuration sets. All the existing display configurations saved with the project template are applied to any project created from the template.
- Units, keyboard shortcuts, reports, and other settings
- Active library.
In addition to the most common way of creating a project template as described below, it is also possible to create a template from an existing project by determining all the desired settings and executing just the last step of the description below.
- Create a new project by following the steps described in the Creating New Project topic of this help.
- Determine the desired properties listed above.
- Switch to the Project structure tab and use the File > Save as template menu items to save the project and its settings as a template.
