Creating Arcs

An arc is a segment of a circle. This type of arc is defined by its center and radius. To create such an arc, you can use the mouse and the keyboard. Both techniques can be combined.

Using the mouse

  1. Click the Create arc button on the toolbar.
  2. Determine the first point (the center of the arc) by clicking on the desired location in the working window.
  3. Determine the other two points in the same way.

    The arc is created between the second and the third key points.
  4. Repeat the command by using the space bar or clicking the Create arc button again, if desired.

Using the command bar

  1. Click the Create arc button on the toolbar.
  2. Determine the X and Y coordinates of the first point (the center of the radius) in the command bar and confirm with [OK].
  3. Determine the second point in the same way or switch to the Distance command in the command bar and determine the Radius and Angle values of the segment.
  4. Determine the angle of the arc.
  5. Click [OK] to complete the arc.
  6. Repeat the command by using the space bar or clicking the Create arc button again, if desired.
