The Nailboard defaults section of the Settings dialog contains settings applicable to the nailboards' default settings.
The following dialog elements are available:
Nailboard defaults
In this main node, you find the following dialog elements:
- <Object> check boxes: Determines the default state of the options to be displayed in the New nailboard wizard for creating a new nailboard. For example, if you deactivate the Place connectable object symbols check box, then this option will also be deactivated in the wizard.
- Text box: Determines the default text box of balloons. The text box is not displayed in the New nailboard wizard. The following entries are available in the drop-down list:
- Rectangle
- Corners
- Circle
- Ellipse.
- Symbol shape: Determines the default shape of balloons. The symbol shape is not displayed in the New nailboard wizard. The following symbol shapes are available:
- Not set
- Point
- Square
- Plus
- Cross
- Star
- Arrow.
- Round bending radii (workspace): If activated, the bending radii in the workspace are rounded.
Texts
In this subnode, you find the following dialog elements:
- Font group box: Determines the settings of font, font size, and font style for Texts, Annotations, Tables, and Dimensions.
In this subnode, you find the following dialog elements:
- Adjust hatch color to nailboard background color: If activated, the color of hatching is automatically adjusted to the background color during derivation (e.g. white background and white hatching leads to black
hatching).
This setting affects the style and appearance of hatchings if hatching is used. To turn the hatching function on / off, use the Create hatching for bundles / cables function in the settings (Nailboard defaults main node) or in the New nailboard wizard for creating a new nailboard.
Grids
In this subnode, you find the following dialog elements:
- Cell width (global grid) / Cell height (global grid): Defines the cell size of newly created global grids.
- Rotate segment grid: Defines the number of segments into which the local grid is divided by specifying the angle between them. The lesser the angle is, the more fluent the Move command will be.
- Gaps grid - max. lengthening coefficient: Defines the maximum allowed lengthening coefficient for shrinking / lengthening bundles / cables. The default value "1" doesn't allow any lengthening, only shrinking. A coefficient of "2" allows lengthening of max. 100%.
- Gaps grid - circle distance: Defines the number of radial shrinking steps for gaps grids by specifying a value in percent (10% ~ 10 steps, 25% ~ 4 steps, etc.).
- Gaps grid - segment: Defines the number of segments into which the gaps grid is divided by specifying the angle between them. The lesser the angle is, the more fluent the Move command will be.
Hatch override
In this subnode, you find the following dialog elements:
- <Object> check boxes: By activating the object-specific check boxes you can override the hatching of any type of surface protection. If a hatch is assigned to the surface protection, it will be created in the nailboard with these settings.
Points
In this subnode, you find the following dialog elements:
- Control point size: Defines the size of a user-defined control point, created with the Place control point command.
- Pin size: Determines the diameter of the pin.
- Spider diagram leg length: Determines the length of a spider leg.
