/ The Stretch surface protection / Shrink surface protection functions allow for using a surface protection from one bundle on another bundle or removing it from that bundle.
The Stretch surface protection function is used to extend a surface protection from one bundle to another one. The two bundles must be connected by one shared point. This way you can stretch a surface protection across many bundles, but only in one path. You cannot, e.g., stretch a surface protection across both bundles of a branched segment.
The Shrink surface protection function is used to remove a surface protection from a bundle. In addition it is used to remove a segment of a surface protection between two shared points so that you could stretch the surface protection along a different path.
