Import part

This functionality is only available to you in the Eplan Platform.

Preconditions:

  • You have signed in to the Eplan Cloud and are in an organization.
  • Create an account if you do not have an Eplan Cloud account yet. Information on this topic is available here.
  • You have selected the Eplan Data Portal.

Import individual parts

ClosedIn the parts list
  1. Parts list
  2. Parts import
  1. Click the icon of the desired part list or open the drop-down list and select Import. (Filter parts)

    2. The Import of parts dialog opens.

  2. Select an import type:
    • Add new parts data only
    • Only update existing parts data
    • Update existing parts data and add new data
  3. If necessary, select the extent of parts import and a protected fields schema.
  4. Click OK.

    5. The download starts; a scroll bar is displayed.

  5. Click Import.
  6. The import starts.

ClosedIn the detail view
  1. Parts list
  2. Parts import
  1. Click the icon of the detail view or open the drop-down list and select Import. (Open detail view)

    2. The Import of parts dialog opens.

  2. Select an import type:
    • Add new parts data only
    • Only update existing parts data
    • Update existing parts data and add new data
  3. If necessary, select the extent of parts import and a protected fields schema.
  4. Click OK.

    5. The download starts; a scroll bar is displayed.

  5. Click Import.
  6. The import starts.

Import multiple parts

  1. Activate the multiple selection.
  2. Select the desired parts.
  3. Click the icon or open the drop-down list and select Import.

    4. The Import of parts dialog opens.

  4. Select an import type:
    • Add new parts data only
    • Only update existing parts data
    • Update existing parts data and add new data
  5. If necessary, select the extent of parts import and a protected fields schema.
  6. Click OK.

    7. The download starts; a scroll bar is displayed.

  7. Click Import.
  8. The import starts.

  1. Select all parts in the download list by means of the overall selection or select individual parts.

    2. If you have limited the display to a number of parts, but more parts are contained in the download list, only those parts are selected in the overall selection that you see in the display. Increase the number of displayed parts to select all parts with the overall selection.

  2. Click the icon or open the drop-down list and select Import.

    3. The Import of parts dialog opens.

  3. Select an import type:
    • Add new parts data only
    • Only update existing parts data
    • Update existing parts data and add new data
  4. If necessary, select the extent of parts import and a protected fields schema.
  5. Click OK.

    6. The download starts; a scroll bar is displayed.

  6. Click Import.
  7. The import starts.
