Apart from wire ducts or free routing paths, connections can also be routed in a wiring system. To do this the following working method is recommended:
Preparations in the outline editor for extrusions
An element of the wiring system is the wiring comb which is used for the fixation of the wires without the usage of a mounting panel and wire ducts.
- Wiring combs are realized in EPLAN as a user-defined rail on the basis of an extrusion outline.
- During the creation of an extrusion outline for a wiring comb the mounting surfaces "Wiring comb front" and "Wiring comb rear" can be defined in the outline editor. For this purpose menu items by the same name are available in the Insert > Logic menu of the outline editor.
Working in the mounting layout
The following figure clarifies the order during routing in a wiring system:
- From the wiring comb front (1)
- Through the wiring cut-out (2)
- On the rear side
- In the routing ranges (3).
