Creating Nailboard / Cable Drawing Template

When a nailboard / cable drawing is created from a template containing tables such as wire lists, bills of materials, etc., the tables are automatically filled. To specify which objects are to be saved with the template, select the Tools > Settings > Nailboard > Templates / Tools > Settings > Cable drawing > Templates menu items and activate the corresponding check boxes.

  1. Create an empty nailboard / cable drawing or open an existing one.
  2. The template stores the following data:

    • Drawing header
    • Plot frame (drawing border of the plot frame is used)
    • Tables such as wire lists, bills of materials, etc.
    • User-defined properties
    • Layers configuration
    • Imported images and dwg / dxf files
    • Drawn objects such as rectangles, circles, arcs, etc.
    • Formatting of the active display configuration
    • Translation editor settings.
  3. Select the File > Save as template menu items to save the template.

The Save as dialog is opened for you to browse to a suitable location and assign a name.
  4. Click [Save].

Note:

The plot frame paper size is switched to the next-higher paper format when a wire harness does not fit on the original paper size when the nailboard is created from a template.
