Inserting Interruptions for Pipings

If the course of a piping overlaps with another symbol in a P&I diagram (for example a container), you can insert a symbol for a piping interruption at this point.

Preconditions:

You have opened a project containing pre-planning data.
You have opened a page of the "P&I diagram" type.
You have defined a piping in the P&I diagram by means of a piping definition point.

Select the following commands: Insert center > Breadcrumb trail Home > Symbols.
From the symbol library SPECIAL select the symbol PBR for a piping interruption.
In the preview select the corresponding variant of the interruption symbol for a vertical or horizontal piping section.
For the desired piping click the positions between which the interruption is to be inserted.

The piping is not deleted between these two positions but only graphically interrupted.
Proceed in a similar way for all additional pipings that are to be interrupted.
End the action via the Cancel action popup menu item or via the [Esc] button.

Note:

You should either use other symbols from the symbol library SPECIAL (LBR, LBRL and LBRP), or have the gaps for connection junctions in the P&I diagram displayed automatically for the junctions of pipings in the P&I diagram. To this purpose, activate the Display gaps for connection junctions check box in the Settings: P&I diagram dialog.
