By means of the Synchronization of parts dialog, you can specifically update parts in the project or transfer parts that currently are only available in the project into the parts database. The following extensions have been implemented for the synchronization of parts for this version:
- New search field for parts
- Improved display of the source name
- Synchronization of parts extended by parts comparison
New search field for parts
The familiar search field has now been added to the Synchronization of parts dialog. This way you can, for example, reduce the displayed parts to a few or one part. The search takes into consideration both the stored parts as well as the system parts. Only the part numbers are searched.
Improved display of the source name
In order to make it more clearly visible from where parts data are synchronized, the user interface of the Synchronization of parts dialog has been changed slightly. The project name is now displayed in brackets behind the designation of the Stored parts list. The name of the parts database is displayed in brackets behind the designation of the System parts list. The display of the project name in the title bar has been removed.
Synchronization of parts extended by parts comparison
Analog to the parts management and part selection, the synchronization of parts has also been expanded by a parts comparison. This way you can recognize differences between a stored part and the same part in the parts database better. To open the Compare parts dialog, select the new Compare stored part menu item below the [Extras] button.
Differences between the parts only occur if the stored part in the project is older or younger than the system part. A part that only exists in the project cannot be compared. Accordingly, the menu item is not available in such a situation.
In this special dialog for parts comparison, the properties of a marked part stored in the project and the properties of the associated system part are compared in the parts database. The stored part is the reference part (left part column). The values of the properties are only displayed and cannot be edited by you.
In comparison to the parts comparison in the parts management, the Compare parts dialog is adapted to the synchronization of parts. Thus the toolbar for changing the parts compared with each other is not available here. And from this parts comparison you cannot jump to the part but only return to the synchronization of parts.
