In the Settings: Parts (user) dialog further new settings are available in addition to the new Eplan Cloud option and the new Expand tree view with linked objects setting. (A possible command path to this dialog is: File > Settings > User > Management > Parts.) The following extensions have been implemented by means of these settings:
- New setting for showing and hiding Data Portal in the parts management
- Displaying the name of the origin database
- Consideration of all part variants when selecting a part node
New setting for showing and hiding Data Portal in the parts management
The new Display Data Portal node check box is now available in the Settings: Parts (user) dialog to show and hide Eplan Data Portal in the tree of the parts management.
If this check box is activated, the "Data Portal" icon is displayed above the main node for the parts in the tree and combination view of the parts management and the part selection.
If the check box is deactivated, the "Data Portal" icon in the parts management and in the part selection is hidden.
Display the name of the origin database
The new Origin database (ID 22988) part property is now available for parts in the Properties tab of the parts management. In this property you can enter the name of the parts database for a part in which the part was originally created. After a part has been stored in a project, other users can thus see in which parts database the part was originally created.
If the new Set origin database setting is activated in the Settings: Parts (user) dialog, the directory and the name of the set parts database are automatically entered into the Origin database property when a new part is created. The data automatically entered in this property can be manually deleted, edited or changed via external editing.
Consider all part variants when selecting a part node
If the part node is selected in the tree view of the parts management for a part with several variants, only the first variant is considered selected by default. During editing this can lead to errors if it is not clear that further variants may have to be changed.
So that you can now change all the associated variants together during the selection of a part node, the new Edit part variants of a node together setting is available in the Settings: Parts (user) dialog.
If this check box is activated, all part variants of a part are taken into consideration and changed together when a part node is selected in the tree view. In this case, Eplan behaves as if a multiple selection was being made for all variants of a part.
