Using the formula editor

The button is located at all points at which you can work with formulas. Click the button to open a formula editor for the corresponding input box. The form editor is divided into the areas Text editor and Form editor.

Form editor

Both areas are available to you for editing of formulas for controlling the VisibilityYou control the visibility of configuration variables by defining the conditions. Only if the conditions are fulfilled, the displayed names of the configuration variables in Project Builder become visible. of configuration variables and the Status of a macro. You do not enter the formula yourself in the Form editor. Instead you define the conditions by selecting the corresponding configuration variables, operators and values from the drop-down lists and linking them. The formula is generated automatically on the basis of your selection.

Text editor

You can edit all other formulas solely in the Text editor. The Text editor offers you, apart from the classic formula entry, many additional editing options:

  • Multi-line input with more overview
  • IntelliSense (automatic completion)
  • Syntax highlighting (The different elements of the formulas are highlighted in color.)
  • Find and replace
  • Diverse convenience functions

Notes

  • As soon as you save a formula in the Form editor, you can not keep editing it.
  • The formula editor is available as of the Cogineer Cloud Advanced module package.
