Introduction

EPLAN Cogineer Cloud is an add-on of the EPLAN platform that allows you to further standardize and automate your engineering processes and data. On the basis of pre-defined partial circuits (macros), value sets and rules you create DesignerConfigurators and sets of rules are defined on the basis of EPLAN macros in Designer. These form the basis for the configuration and the automatic generation of the project documentation. configurators for your products. Subsequently you enrich the configurators in the Project BuilderThe project-specific configuration and the automatic generation of the project documentation takes place in the Project Builder on the basis of the configurators and sets of rules defined in the Designer. with project-specific information and generate the required project documentation automatically to a great extent. Depending on the trade you generate the project documentation for EPLAN Electric P8 or EPLAN Fluid.

All data that you need for the project documentation of your product are managed in a library. The library is published in the EPLAN Cloud and with that is, independent of the abode, usable for all persons that have the respective access authorization. An exchange between the data is not necessary anymore. All employees of your organization always work with the same current data.

You operate from this library when creating the rules for your configurators. It is the starting point for the mechatronic configuration of your products. All the required macros are organized and managed in Macro-Typicals. Each Macro-TypicalA Macro-Typical is an organization structure that contains information about the structure and the usage of the macros that are needed in the project. Each Macro-Typical maps a part of the machine / plant that is to be configured. maps a partial function of the product that is to be configured. Typical Groups are used to group these partial functions and define dependencies between the partial functions. This way you specify which components your product must consist of and which components are optional.
