Multilingualism: Basics

EPLAN Cogineer Cloud supports you in working in international teams. Depending on the selected user interface language in the software the contents are displayed automatically in the respective language. If the contents are not available in the user interface language, they are displayed in English (en-US). If English is not available either, the first available language is displayed. You can use the functionalities of the EPLAN platform dictionary to maintain the required master data.

Translation services

Some of the functionalities of the EPLAN platform dictionary are also supported directly in EPLAN Cogineer Cloud. Click the button at the lower end of the sidebar to open the Translation services dialog. The following functionalities are available to you there:

Translate

If the corresponding translations are available, all the elements for which you can make a multilingual input are translated automatically on the basis of the dictionary.

Export missing-word list

Export a Missing-word list, if you have elements in your library for which no translation is available in the dictionary. This is an .xml file that you can use for translation. After the translation you import the .xml file back to the dictionary of the EPLAN platform. This way you simplify the management of translations.

Remove translations

Use this functionality to remove all the translations of a specific language from your library.
