Multilingual input

When you create new elements in EPLAN Cogineer Cloud, you can specify the names in several languages. In addition, you can have the names of the elements translated if the EPLAN platform dictionary already contains the name. This possibility exists for the following elements:

• Name of Macro-Typicals
• Name of Typical-Groups
• Name of configurators
• Displayed name of configuration variables

Entry of names in several languages takes place directly in the software user interface of EPLAN Cogineer Cloud.

Preconditions

• You wish to create an element for which multilingual input is supported.
• You have already entered the name for the element.

Procedure

1. Click the button that shows the currently active user interface language next to the Name input field in the workspace.
2. The Multilingual input dialog is opened.
3. The name that you entered beforehand is displayed in the input field for the active user interface language.

2. Enter the desired translations for the name.

2. Click the Translate button to check whether a translation is available in the EPLAN platform dictionary.
3. A message is displayed in which the available translations are listed.
4. The translations are entered automatically into the corresponding input fields.

3. Click the Save button.
4. All the data are stored in the macro project.
5. The dialog is closed.
