Settings

All the setting options for Cogineer are located at a central point. The settings that you specify apply for the DesignerConfigurators and sets of rules are defined on the basis of EPLAN macros in Designer. Precondition

You have called up the Designer dialog.

Procedure

1. Click the . button at the lower end of the sidebar.
2. The dialog Settings dialog is displayed. The graphical user interface of the Cogineer is grayed out.

2. Specify the desired options:

General

• Specify whether the Measurement unit mm or inch is to be used.
• Activate the check box for the Enable 'Ladder' logicThe 'Ladder' logic is part of the NFPA standard. 'Ladder' refers to the plot frame on which the schematics are mapped. It is divided into several subpages ('Ladders'). In the plot frame the 'Number of ladders' property is used to specify the number of subpages that are displayed. option if you want to generate a project documentation conforming to US standards.

Structure

• Specify which structure identifiers are available in the extended view of a macro. Activate the check box at all the structure identifiers that you require for your project structure.

3. Click the Save button.
4. The dialog is closed and the modified settings are applied immediately.
